Transportation Systems Management & Operations
ALDOT Emergency Management Coordinators (EMC’s) are required to produce a Road Weather Situation Report (SitRep) every 12 hours during emergency events.
Historically, there has not been a standard template of required information for the Area Maintenance Offices to utilize for reporting to the Maintenance Bureau EMC’s.
Recently, we have developed a standard web based template application to be utilized by the Area offices throughout the course of weather emergency events.
This initiative is to rectify historical reporting issues, bring continuity to the reporting processes, provide timely reporting and ultimately generate reporting archives
for each weather event. These SitReps are distributed to the Governor’s office, ALDOT leadership, and other State Agency leadership for timely situational awareness
throughout the course of weather emergency events.
